Smart, recognisable polos and layers for staff based at theatres, venues, receptions and licensed premises.

Printingmad · Washington, Tyne and Wear
Professional clothing for venue teams, event stewards, door staff and front-of-house personnel. Explore genuine supplier polos, jackets and hi-vis garments, with printing on supported products.
A steward helping visitors at a family festival, a venue supervisor managing staff and a front-of-house employee welcoming office guests may all need recognisable clothing, but their duties and uniform requirements can be very different.
Printingmad, operated by TEE MAD LIMITED in Washington, Tyne and Wear, supplies plain garments and printing on supported clothing for security providers, events businesses, venues and contractors across Washington, Sunderland, Newcastle and the wider North East. Choose practical polos for customer-facing teams, flexible fleeces and softshells for cooler shifts, or suitable high-visibility garments for identified event and site requirements.
Start with the team’s actual duties and the venue’s uniform policy. A consistent colour scheme and finished company logo can help visitors recognise the right people, but clothing does not confer security powers, licensing or safety certification. Those must be dealt with independently by the responsible organisation.
These photographs are generated lifestyle illustrations, not photographs of actual Printingmad customer orders, exact catalogue garments or verified SIA-licensed personnel.

View product previewA supervisor, ticketing steward and security operative may need different recognition arrangements. Use the organiser’s agreed colours and identification system, keeping the appearance practical and avoiding confusing role labels.
Comfortable fit matters when staff stand or walk for long periods. Polos with removable layers can suit changing temperatures, but weatherproof or safety performance must be checked on the specific garment.
Keep artwork readable and check its contrast against the garment. Radio loops, pockets, front zips and reflective areas can restrict printing. For printed products, choose only positions offered on that garment.
Uniforms do not replace SIA licensing requirements. Whether a role requires a Security Industry Authority licence depends on the actual activities performed and the working arrangements, not on a job title or what the clothing says. Most front-line SIA licence holders performing licensable duties must wear their licence visibly, subject to the relevant exceptions. Any company ordering branded clothing remains responsible for checking staff authorisation and suitable identification.
Event organisers must also assess their stewarding arrangements, crowd movement, access routes and any risk from traffic or site operations. Hi-vis garments may be appropriate for certain roles, but the correct certified colour/class and safe printing restrictions must be checked. RG469, for example, has different supplier-listed hi-vis classes for different colourways. See the official SIA licence guidance, SIA licence display conditions and HSE crowd control and stewarding guidance.

No. Uniforms and printed wording do not establish that a person has the right licence. Businesses must check whether duties are licensable under SIA rules. Staff doing licensable front-line work normally need to display their SIA licence, subject to the applicable exceptions.
Not necessarily. General stewarding and security duties can involve different legal and operational requirements. Decide each person’s actual duties and check the SIA guidance rather than assuming a job title, vest or garment determines licensing.
Only where the chosen garment supports the decoration and its required fluorescent and reflective areas remain compliant. Confirm the selected colour’s current certification and the manufacturer’s printing instructions.
No. For example, the RG469 supplier description lists Class 1 for some two-tone colourways and Class 2 for certain other colours. Check the exact garment colour, certificate and your event’s requirements.
Consider comfortable polos, easily removable fleece or softshell layers, and any hi-vis garments identified by the event plan. Weather protection and PPE suitability must be assessed separately from visual uniform coordination.
Yes. Keep an approved list of product codes, sizes and colours for different roles, including stewards, supervisors and indoor reception staff. Do not rely on invented colour matches between supplier ranges.

Personalised goods are generally non-returnable for a change of mind, including incorrect customer-selected sizing. Statutory rights relating to faulty or incorrectly supplied goods remain unaffected.
For fixed event dates, gather sizes and approve final artwork before placing the order. A simple uniform register with each person’s role, garment code, colour and size helps prevent mix-ups when stewards and security staff wear different items. Recheck product options and supplier stock for every additional order.
Consider personal comfort and layering for long shifts, and check whether different sizes or fits are available for the team. Manufacturer size charts should be consulted before ordering personalised clothing. Our garment size guide, artwork guide and care guide may help. Personalised items are generally non-returnable for change of mind, but rights in relation to faulty or incorrectly supplied goods remain unaffected under the returns policy.
